There have been a few good buys on the Portland Oregon Real Estate Market over the last year but nothing like what I have been seeing in the last couple of days!
August 1st hit and hold on to your hat. In some of the hottest market places in the greater Portland Metro area it looks like a return to the old days. I had been telling people for the last 3 or so years that the $200,000 and under price range in close in Portland had all but disapearred.
Today though as I took a quick peek in just a couple of areas I found seven nice homes from $149,900 to $189,000. Who would have thought? I suspect the fact that Oregon has reached number 3 in the nation for foreclosures has something to do with it.

WOW Herb is that home for sale at the top of the page and how much is it selling for? I use to live in NW & SW Portland many moons ago and I remember homes all over different neighborhoods like this one in the photo. These types of homes have so much character and hardwood floors, (Priceless)!
